Future Ghost Towns is a series of small gouache paintings made between 2019 and 2021. Built through layered exchanges of opaque and translucent color, the works move between landscape, weather, body, and map without settling into a single image. Made within limited spans of time and at a compressed scale, they test how a painting can suggest distance, movement, and expansiveness while remaining materially immediate.
